Dr. Kathleen Nichols was raised on a dairy farm in Newcastle ON. She completed undergraduate and doctoral degrees at the University of Guelph, followed by medical school at the University of Western Ontario. She came to Peterborough to complete her Family Medicine residency through Queen’s University, and decided to remain in the area after finishing her degree.
Dr. Nichols provides comprehensive in-office care for people of all ages, from newborns to older adults. She provides nursing home care for residents at Springdale Country Manor, and home visits for people who have difficulty getting to the office.
She also participates in the Queens Family Medicine Residency Program as the Assessment Lead for the Peterborough site. At times she may have medical learners in the office, and encourages her patients to allow medical learners to participate in their care.
